Every year, the Tualatin Riverkeepers organize a summer-long event to raise support for their efforts in preserving and revitalizing the Tualatin River watershed. When creating the logo, it was crucial to capture the essence of summer while ensuring its versatility across all media, materials, and platforms. The primary goal was to design an aesthetically pleasing logo that could be proudly displayed on apparel, enticing people to wear it while also attracting others. Inspired by the nostalgia of summer and camp logos, I crafted a simplistic illustration featuring a paddler gracefully navigating down a tree-lined waterway, mirroring the beauty of the Tualatin River. The subtle gradients incorporated into the design pay homage to sunsets and water, evoking a sense of tranquility without overpowering the overall aesthetic.
